Tyco
Background
Not a person. Tyco Toys was an American toy maker, founded in 1926 as Mantua Metal Products, that produced miniature trains, electric racing cars (slot cars), remote-control vehicles, dolls, View-Master and Magna Doodle, among other products. In 1997, it was acquired by Mattel for about US$755 million and became a Mattel brand, with its lines redistributed among divisions such as Fisher-Price and Wheels. The Hot Wheels Wiki cites Tyco as the division in which York Bleyer started at Mattel.
