Shawn Moghadam — Shawn Salimi Moghadam is an industrial designer who worked at Mattel in 2023 and 2024, on contract, on mainline and Premium 1:64 models. Before that, he was a visual artist at Tesla. He also teaches part-time at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.
Chris Watson — Not a member of Hot Wheels' design team. Chris Watson is a New Zealand car builder and won the 2023 Hot Wheels Legends Tour with the Chimera, a customized 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata with cyberpunk and kaido racer influences. The Hot Wheels Wiki associates with him the Mazda MX-5 Miata from the HW Dream Garage series (2025), made in collaboration with designer Shawn Moghadam.
