Background
Nigo — Not a member of Hot Wheels' design team. Tomoaki Nagao, known as Nigo, is a Japanese fashion designer, DJ, record producer and entrepreneur; he founded the brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and is artistic director of Kenzo. The Hot Wheels Wiki lists him among the brand's guests and associates with him the Mercedes-Benz Project G-Class Past II Future (Hot Wheels x Mercedes-Benz collaboration, 2025), developed with designer Ethan Wood.
Ethan Wood — Ethan Wood is an American industrial designer and Senior Director of Product Design at Mattel. According to the wiki, he is technically not part of the Hot Wheels design team, but he is responsible for the design of several of the brand's products at the Mattel Creations Collaboratory, including collaborations such as those with Daniel Arsham, MSCHF and Mercedes-Benz.
