Kevin Cao, Dave Sheltman
Background
Kevin Cao — Kevin Kai Cao has worked at Mattel since 2007. He joined as an intern on the Hot Wheels team and was hired after graduating; his first project was the Cloak and Dagger, done during his internship. Today he is a senior project designer and lead, and a key designer in Hot Wheels Track & Playsets; the wiki also lists work on mainline, Monster Trucks, RacerVerse and Super Rigs. He currently also works as a designer at Matchbox.
Dave Sheltman — David Alan Sheltman worked at Mattel from at least 1999 until about 2017. He was part of Hot Wheels' Innovation and Track groups and worked on whatever 'needed his special attention', mostly track sets and playsets, designing cars only occasionally. He then moved to Matchbox, where he designed large-scale vehicles and other non-die-cast items, such as Wrecky the Wrecking Buddy. He left Mattel around 2017 and now works at Spin Master.
