CASTING DESIGNER

Fraser Campbell, Josh Henson

Background

Fraser Campbell — Fraser Lee Campbell, of British heritage, worked at Mattel (first at the UK office and then on the Hot Wheels design team in the US) until 2016; the wiki gives 2000 as the year he joined Hot Wheels, while another source cites 1998 as the start of his time at Mattel. He was lead designer for the Monster Jam and Power Rigs lines. His first annual design was the Maelstrom (2001); he is also associated with Fish'd & Chip'd, Lotus Esprit and Cockney Cab II, as well as Monster Jam trucks such as Grave Digger.

He left in 2016 for Hackrod, a company founded by Felix Holst, kept Campbell Design LLC, and, after Hackrod ended in 2020, returned to Mattel in June 2021.

Josh Henson — Josh Henson was a Hot Wheels designer from 2004 to 2010. His first explicitly attributed design was the Reverb (2005, AcceleRacers), made in collaboration with Alec Tam. He later worked at Spin Master and other design companies, creating vehicles for various projects, and is now a freelancer.
